Don't want your wedding ceremony to end up on one of those bloopers shows? Here's tip #1 on how to avoid turning your own wedding into a spectacle.
Tip #1
Skip the Runner
At many outdoor weddings, you'll notice a beautiful white runner that goes down the aisle. Pretty? Yes! Dangerous? Yes! Asking for trouble? Yes! As wedding videographers, we've seen flower girls trip on runners and end up in tears down the aisle, bridesmaids giving looks that could kill when they try to make the trek in high heels, and for one bride a gust of wind blew her runner up high in the air, causing her to dodge underneath and around it. It literally looked like a kite flying in the wind.
If you manage to make it up and down the aisle okay without any unintended stunts, you're still most likely left with a trampled and mangled white runner with a bunch of footprints on it.
May we suggest some nice flower petals instead?
Stay tuned for Tip #2 coming up.
